Some highlights from last week’s announcement of support from the John R. Oishei Foundation:
— $250,000 grant will be shared by both schools
— The money will enable St. Bonventure and Hilbert to hire an Executive Director with experience in this type of process
— Both school’s boards of trustees voted to continue with a second phase of the feasibility study
— Three new ad hoc strategic alliance task forces will be created in Phase II as follows:
– Governance – Co- Chaired by Cynthia Zane and Sister Margaret Carney
– Academic – Co-Chaired by Dr. Christopher Holoman and Dr. Michael Fischer
– Finance – Co-Chaired by Rick Pinkowski and Brenda McGee
Details of this second phase of feasibility will be discussed at the College Wide Meeting on January 9th.

St. Bonaventure students give back to the community in many ways, including the BonaResponds program and Warming House. BonaResponds answers calls for help from near and far and the Warming House is believed to be the oldest student-run soup kitchen in the nation. SBU travels to Africa and the Bahamas to help those in need.
