Hilbert College’s Adam Weaver earned his first United Volleyball Conference award this year and his fourth Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honor after three impressive performances last week.
The United Volleyball Conference is the most challenging Division III volleyball conference as six of the Top 15 teams ranked are members of the UVC. Additionally, out of Hilbert’s 29 matches played this season, 16 games were against opponents who currently still are, or spent time, in the Top 15 ACVA poll.
His 73 kills helped Hilbert secure the program’s first-ever victory over D’Youville College while they picked up a series-sweep over Wells College. The Hawks slipped to Keuka the final match of the week settling into a 2-1 record.
The current Division III National Leader in Kills/set led the Hawks with 6.66 k/s with an attack percentage of .352. He averaged 26.3 points per game (7.18 points/set) which is another category he currently leads Division III men’s volleyball this 2014 season.
He is on track to repeat his 2013 National Division III Kills/set accomplishment with five games remaining on the schedule. He currently owns a 4.84 kills/set and 5.50 points/set stat to lead the country.
