Women’s Soccer Earns NSCAA Academic Honor
KANSAS CITY, KS – The 2013 Hilbert College women’s soccer team was recognized for their continued success in the classroom as last year’s team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award during the 2013-14 academic year.
The 2013 Hilbert women’s soccer team continued the Hawks’ dominance, as their 3.45 gpa last fall extended their swept of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Team Peak Performer’s Award since its inception three years ago. The award is given to the team with the highest cumulative fall grade point average within the ten-member league.
This 2014 Team Academic Award by the NSCAA marks the eighth time the women’s soccer program received national recognition for its outstanding academic success.
A total of 861 soccer teams (279 men, 582 women) posted a team cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2013-14 academic year. The Hawks continue to demonstrate the program’s commitment to the Division III model of blended academics and athletics.
