— The Book of Answers by Hilbert English professor Herb Kauderer is one of nine books nominated for the 2015 Elgin Award as best poetry chapbook.  The Elgin is an international award started by SFPA in 2013 to honor their founder Suzette Hayden Elgin.  The SFPA was founded in 1978 and also administrates the Rhysling and Dwarf Star awards.  Five individual poems from The Book of Answers have been nominated for those awards.  The Elgin is given in two categories, Chapbook which collects 10-39 pages of poetry, and Full-length Book which collect 40 or more pages of poetry.

The Book of Answers published in July of 2014 by Written Image, and was published with the help of an arts grant from Hilbert College.  The book was featured as part of the well-attended Arts in the Library Reception and Poetry Reading in Hilbert’s McGrath Library last November.
