The Elgin is an international award started by SFPA in 2013 to honor their founder Suzette Hayden Elgin. The SFPA was founded in 1978 and also administrates the Rhysling and Dwarf Star awards. Five individual poems from The Book of Answers have been nominated for those awards. The Elgin is given in two categories, Chapbook which collects 10-39 pages of poetry, and Full-length Book which collect 40 or more pages of poetry.
