Hilbert DMaC Student Updates

—  DMaC Junior Dave Seifert has started producing material for the Buffalo Spree’s website! He is the first of our students who will participate in high-impact learning experiences with partner organizations. Buffalo Spree Magazine is our first partnering organization.  http://www.buffalospree.com/Buffalo-Spree/January-2016/Video-Go-Nordic/

These experiences will have students and faculty work together, using classroom knowledge to try and work out real-world issues for community organizations and businesses. Organizations and companies who would like to partner with our department should contact Prof. Chris Gallant at cgallant@hilbert.edu.

— Graduating DMaC Senior Corinne McCarthy has had a successful internship with the weekly newspaper The Public. She’s done quite a lot of work for their print edition as well on their website. Most notably Corinne has forged a popular web column in the food and drink section named Pics and Chews. Her most recent installment may be her last… but who knows, it may continue past her internship. Stay tuned!  http://www.dailypublic.com/articles/12212015/pic-and-chews-buffalo-chowhounds-instagram

— DMaC Junior Connor Kirst just landed an internship with Cumulus media/97 Rock. Connor began his internship in the field at the Bills final game against the Jets. Reports from Cumulus are that he is still pinching himself. Also, Connor is one of the co-hosts of a popular Hawk Radio program The Bye Week. https://soundcloud.com/thebyeweek
