— Update on W-2’s

There is a change in how your TIAA-CREF (403(b)) retirement contributions will be reported on this year’s W2.  Amounts you have deducted from your pay for the regular retirement account will be reported in Box 14 and labelled TIAA.  If you have a SRA, deductions for that account will be reported in Box and 12 and labelled with an “E”.  The changes ensure compliance with IRS instructions for the W2.

Please note that The W-2’s posted on the Paychex website are not correct for most full time employees and some of the part time staff.  The issue involves the reporting of Medical insurance, HSA contributions and possibly TIAA –CREF (retirement) contributions.  The Wage and tax withholding information is correct.

We anticipate the correct W-2’s will be posted on our Paychex site by the end of this week (01/29/16) and the W-2’s can be printed off the website (let me know if you need any help with this).  The paper copies of the W-2’s for affected employees should be here next week.

The paper copies of W-2’s for all other employees should be available at the end of this week. Tax returns still can be prepared but should not be submitted until you have the correct W-2.

We apologize for any inconvenience as we continue to transition to Paychex.
