Hilbert hosted an Erie County Law Enforcement Foundation Board meeting on Friday, Feb. 12, the Foundation continues to support law enforcement training for officers and other related individuals on a number of topics. At the Board meeting, Dr. Marty Floss presented a follow-up on a project he and a grad student have been developing that hopefully will become a grant request that will provide further long term training to our area officers in the area of diversity in law enforcement.
Since 2003, the Foundation has provided funds and support for over 30 trainings on Hilbert’s campus to over 4000 attendees. There are two scheduled for Hilbert in March. Identifying and Documenting Local Gang Members for Criminal Justice personnel on March 7 and Law Enforcement Disability Awareness Training on March 8.
