The Provost’s Advisory Council on Diversity (PACD) is hosting a town hall forum, titled “The Politics of Hate,” on Tuesday, March 1st. The discussion panel for the event includes Yvonne Downes, Kush Haq, Jeff Papia, and Megan Witzleben, and will touch on a number of topics and themes related to the sometimes divisive nature of political discourse. It is our hope that the forum will provide the opportunity for our students to experience and participate in the thoughtful and respectful exchange of ideas, information, and opinions, even when the subject spurs significant disagreement.
The town hall forum will be held in Swan Auditorium and begin at 3:15pm. Last year’s forum was very well attended by students, staff, and faculty, and we hope to have an even better turnout this year. Posters will be placed around campus advertising the forum, and we ask that you encourage students to attend this very important discussion.
