Move In Day – Volunteers Needed

The Office of Residence Life is eagerly awaiting the arrival of our resident students. We’re calling it “Bert’s Move-In Bash.” In order for our students and families to feel welcomed, we ask that volunteers from our community assist with move in day. We have tasks that range from checking students in, making sure items are permitted into the residence halls, helping move students belongings and greeting our guests. All volunteers will receive a move in day t-shirt, refreshments and gratitude from the Residence Life Staff.  Move In Day is Saturday, August 27!

To help, we ask that you volunteer for the following time slots:

  • New Students: 8:30 AM- 12 PM
  • Returning Students: 12:30 PM- 4 PM
  • All Star Volunteer: 8:30 AM- 4 PM

*We will have meetings at 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM to review the tasks, go over the work flow for the day and answer any questions volunteers may have.

We hope you are able to donate a few hours of your time to welcome our students back to their second home, Hilbert College. If you are interested in this wonderful opportunity, please email jillcole@hilbert.edu the time you’d like to volunteer along with your t-shirt size. We will always accept volunteers that show up the day of as well.
