The search for the new Provost/VPAA is underway. The search committee has completed the development of the document to be used for all marketing and recruiting related to the search. A copy of this Search Profile has been posted to our website at http://www.hilbert.edu/about/provost-search A copy of the advertisement that will be distributed nationally through various publications and networks is attached.
As you review the Profile, please pay particular attention to the attributes most highly desired in our next chief academic officer. We urge you to consider individuals who could bring their leadership skills to Hilbert as our provost. If you can identify persons who would be strong candidates (or those who might know potential candidates), please forward their names to our search consultant, Tom Courtice, at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are encouraging the involvement of all members of the Hilbert community in this critical first step of the search process.
Over the next six weeks, we will be generating the candidate pool through nominations received from you, contacts with national education and foundation figures, inquiries to administrators at other colleges and universities, advertising in the Chronicle of Higher Education and other publications, and the work of our consultant.
The search is off to a good start. Don’t hesitate to contact either of the co-chairs (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org), if you have any questions. Thank you for your interest, your involvement, and your support.
