News & Notes from the English Department

–Hilbert professor Megan Witzleben will be editing and writing the introduction to The Broadview Anthology of Expository Prose, a text that will be used in writing courses across the country. Her name and affiliation will be included in the text.  Kudos Megan!

— Hilbert student Brittany Carey (English major) will present her chapbook entitled “Stitches and Mortar” at the Sigma Tau Delta International Honors Society Annual Conference, held March 29-April 1, 2017 in Louisville, KY.

— Hilbert student Jennifer Robinson (English major) and Dr. Megan Witzleben will co-present a paper entitled “Teaching ‘Hunted Down,’ a Transatlantic Bridge in Dickens Studies” at the College English Association Annual Conference, held March 29-April 1 in Hilton Head, SC. Dr. Charles Ernst has organized several panels at the College English Association Conference and will present in Hilton Head as well.
