HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College names Brian Filjones as new Associate Director of Admissions, Katelyn Letizia as new Registrar, and Elizabeth Simons as Director of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations.
Filjones most recently served as the Associate Director at Medaille College and has over eight years of higher education admissions experience.
Filjones completed his bachelor’s degree in sociology from SUNY Fredonia and his master’s degree in student personnel administration from Buffalo State College. He is returning to Hilbert, as he served as graduate intern with the college’s Office of Student Finance in 2007. He resides in Hamburg with his family.
Letizia most recently served as a Registration Advisor in the Registrar’s Office at Daemen College. She has nearly five years of higher education experience, including serving in different capacities at Niagara County Community College, Canisius College, and Medaille College, in addition to her time at Daemen.
Letizia received her bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State and she completed her master’s degree in college student personnel administration from Canisius. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Rochester.
Simons most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at Heritage Centers Foundation and has over 12 years of experience in foundation and corporate relations. While at the Heritage Centers, she was responsible for the successful execution of a $3 million capital campaign benefiting children with special needs. Over the course of her career, she has worked extensively with grant funders, corporate sponsors, special events and donor management.
Simons completed her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Research from SUNY Fredonia.
